Children’s Liturgy

The Children’s Liturgy Group meets during the 10am Mass, except on the 2nd Sunday of each month. It will run throughout the year, except during the summer holiday season.

It started in September 2007 and is proving popular with around 45 children currently attending. Children from Pre School to the end of Year 4 are welcome. They should be happy to go into the Social Centre without their parents, as the only adults present will be the designated leaders and helpers. The Liturgy of the Word is celebrated and explained at an appropriate level of understanding for the children. An activity follows, usually related to the Gospel story.

We have had an excellent response to our request for leaders and helpers. However, as the number of children attending continues to grow, more leaders and helpers would be very welcome. If you think you could help in this way, please contact the Children's Liturgy organiser.
