Relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux The relics of Saint Thérèse visit England and Wales this month. Nearest venues for our parish are 09-10 Oct at Aylesford, and 12-15 Oct at Westminster Cathedral. You can read about this historic event here. Sheila Simon has organised a coach to Aylesford for Friday 9th October when St Thérèse’s relics will arrive there (leave St James' at 11.00am and arrive back at about 7.00pm). On Saturday 10th October (the next day), Archbishop Kevin will be celebrating Mass there at 11.30am. No coach for this but if you are going and could offer one or two car places please sign list in porch and network accordingly. We are encouraged to support these events which will be very significant in the life of the Catholic Church in England, and which will hopefully bear much fruit. Friday 2nd October CAFOD Family Fast Day. Eat less so that someone else can eat a little more! Envelopes for your offering will be at the back of the church. Saturday 3rd October Readers and Eucharistic Ministers Day of Recollection with Bishop Pat at Bishop Thomas Grant School, Streatham. Please enter your name in the porch if you intend to go. Please return your own form as requested. This is for the whole parish and we hope every family will be represented. Please book the date now!
