Mass with St James' School at 9.30am in church.

Best wishes to Caroline Begley and Roberto Navaretti for their wedding at St James' today, and many years of happy married life together.

The Society for the Prevention on Unborn Children (SPUC) has its White Flower Appeal today and you are invited to support this as you leave Mass.

Saturday 16th January

We welcome, through Holy Baptism, at 4.30pm, Isabella Grace Deer (17 months) her parents Dawn and Matthew and godparents Trevor, Mark and Joanna.

Monday 18th January

Meeting for all young people who have applied for confirmation (from 7.00-8.00pm in the Social Centre).

Tuesday 19th January

Baptism preparation evening for parents who have been informed, from 8.15-9.45pm in the Meeting Room between church and hall.

Thursday 21st January

Mission and Planning Team (MaP) in the church meeting room at 7.45pm.

Saturday 23rd January

We welcome through Holy Baptism at 4.30pm, Freddie Kenny Draper (7 months), his parents Caroline and Raymond and godparents Helen, Julie and Kenny.

Sunday 24th January

Preparation for First Holy Communion of children in Year 3 or above who do not attend a Catholic school starts this Sunday. The children leave the 10.00am Mass at Communion time and can be collected in the Social Centre at 11.30am. Contact Miriam Travers for more details.

A short act of worship at 12.30pm to mark the end of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, followed by a bring and share lunch at Christ Church URC, Tudor Way. We are all warmly invited by Revd Pauline Sparkes (who preached at Mass at St James' last year).

Monday 25th January

First Evangelium session (in the church not Social Centre) with coffee at 8.15pm. Evening closes at 9.45pm promptly.

CWL New Year party in the Social Centre starts 7.30pm.

Tuesday 26th January

Bromley Deanery Pastoral Council meets from 8.00pm at St Joseph’s Bromley. The deanery comprises the 13 Catholic parishes within the Borough of Bromley. Our two representatives are Zosia Bajorek and Nick Babb. We are being encouraged to work creatively with our neighbouring parishes. Our representatives will report back in due course.

Wednesday 27th January

Youth Group meeting for parents of Years 6 & 7, in the church meeting room from 8.00-9.00pm.

Saturday 30th January

We welcome through Holy Baptism at 4.30pm, Aaron Joseph Ruber (5 months), his parents Lisa and Tony and godparents Yvonne and Richard.

Sunday 31st January

Taizé style service at 5.00pm (setting up from 4.15pm). A very meditative service using the haunting Taizé music. Everyone is most welcome and especially young people.
