Stations of the Cross each Sunday of Lent (except on 28th February)
On 21st February it will be at 6.00pm, but 5.00pm from 7th March. This is a prayerful meditation on the 14 events in Christ’s journey to the cross on Good Friday. It lasts about 30 minutes and everyone is encouraged to experience this moving devotion. If you are unsure about what happens at Stations of the Cross you can read about it here on our website.
Mondays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd February
Evangelium sessions in the Social Centre with coffee at 8.15pm. Evening closes at 9.45pm promptly.
Tuesdays 9th, 16th, 23rd February
Rehearsal of Petts Wood Festival Chorus at 8.00pm.

Short meeting for parents of confirmation candidates at 7.30pm

Mass at 7.15pm with candles.
Meeting from 8.00-8.30pm for all parents of children who will be applying for Catholic Schools (primary or secondary) next December (i.e. for children stating in September 2011). This will be a short but important meeting and at least one (Catholic) parent should attend.
The Property Committe meets at 8.30pm in the Presbytery.

9.30am Mass in church with Key Stage 1 children from St James’ School.

Finance Committee meeting at 10.00am in the Presbytery.

Wednesday 10th February
Mass in St James' School at 9.00am with Years 3 & 4, to which all parishioners are invited. There will be no 9.30am Mass in church. THE SCHOOL MASS HAS BEEN POSTPONED. MASS WILL BE AT 9.30AM IN CHURCH AS USUAL.

Youth Group meeting for parents and leaders to plan this year’s programme. This will be held in the church meeting room at 8.00pm.

Women’s World Day of Prayer – rehearsals here at 10.30am.
Saturday 13th February
We welcome, through Holy Baptism at 4.30pm, Junior Mwansa, and his Auntie Rachel and godparents Sheila, Frank and Moji. All parishioners are welcome to attend this and any baptism.
Weekend Masses 13/14th February
CAFOD Spring Raffle tickets will be sold by members of the J&P group and MaP in the porch at the end of each Mass and also in the Social Centre on Sunday. This is a national raffle with a first prize of solar panels for your home (or cash of £4,000). The draw will take place on 19th March.
Ash Wednesday 17th February
Masses will be at 9.30am and 8.00pm.
Saturday 20th February
We welcome, through Holy Baptism at 3.45pm, Lucas Valentine Simpson, his parents Victoria and Daniel, and godparents Felix and Philip. All parishioners are welcome to attend this and any baptism.

Confirmation classes begin this evening at 7.00pm in the Social Centre.
There is a CWL meeting at 8.00pm in the St James’ Pre-School room (entry via the Social Centre).

The Ecumenical Lent course "When I Survey" commences with the first of five weekly sessions. You can either attend at Christ Church URC on Tuesday or The Friends Meeting House on Wednesday (follow the links for locations).
Wednesday 24th February
Deanery Pastoral Council at St Joseph’s Bromley. The meeting last month was dynamic and upbeat and we have high hopes of this Deanery Team. Our reps are Zosia Bajorek and Nick Babb.
Thursday 25th February
Requiem Mass for Bill Gudge at 11.00am. Our prayers and sympathy to his family. Bill worshipped at St Mary Cray but is known to many parishioners here. There will be no 9.30am Mass on this date.
Baptismal preparation evening for parents who have been invited at 8.15pm in the church meeting room.
Friday 26th February
CAFOD Family Fast Day. Please bring the money, saved through fasting, in the special envelopes to Mass this weekend.
Rehearsal of the choir for Holy Week and Easter at 7.30pm in church. All singers are welcome.
Saturday 27th February
We welcome, through Holy Baptism at 3.45pm, Edward Allan Proud (2 weeks), his parents Christopher and Maricela and his godparents Maricela and Daniel; and at 4.30pm twins Sophia and Alexander Clarke (5 months), their parents John and Jennifer, and godparents Sharon, Alasdair, Julius and Georgina.
Sunday 28th January
Taizé style service at 5.00pm (setting up from 4.15pm). A very meditative service using the haunting Taizé music. Everyone is most welcome and especially young people. No Stations of the Cross this afternoon.
