"Away-day" for members of the Pastoral and Advisory Team and the Mission and Planning Team at Limpsfield Chart, Surrey.
Sunday 4th July
Parish Walk over Three Bridges in Petts Wood. The Scouts are organising a walk after 11.30 Mass. The walk is about two miles long and you can bring a picnic or enjoy a burger on the way round! Contact Kate Charlesworth for more details.
Tuesday 6th July
From 10.00am, the Key Stage 1 children from St James’ School will be touring the church.
Wednesday 7th July
9.00am Mass in St James’ School with Year 3. All parishioners most welcome to attend this Mass with coffee afterwards in the school.
Sunday 11th July
Annual Mission Appeal on behalf of the Holy Ghost Fathers. Please use your spare envelopes to support this wonderful missionary order, known to many of us through their home at Bickley.
Also, please bring in pasta, dried and tinned foods for the Justice & Peace Group collection to go to the Manna Centre. The Centre is in great need of these items.
Over 60’s Strawberry Tea Party from 2.00-4.00pm in the Social Centre. Please add your name to the list in the church porch. This event is being organised by the parish Brownies & Scouts and supported by the Knights of St Columba.

The funeral of Elena Lams. Requiem Mass at 11.00am. There will be no Masses at 9.30am or 7.15pm today.

Justice and Peace Group meets in the Social Centre at 8.00pm.

Baptism preparation evening for those parents who have been informed at 8.15pm.
Saturday 17th July
We welcome, through Holy Baptism at 4.30pm, Zach Boot-Handford (1 year), his parents Paul and Sarah, and his godparents David, Helen, Adrianna and Simon.
The CWL is hosting a Military Whist Drive in the Social Centre (men, women and young people of secondary school age are most welcome). Play will be in teams of four but you can come on your own to make up a team. The evening begins at 8.00pm with practice sessions for beginners from 7.00-7.45pm. Admission is £6 per person including light refreshments.
Sunday 18th July
Taizé style service at 7.00pm. A very meditative service using the haunting Taizé music. Everyone is most welcome and especially young people. A quiet, different way to end your summer Sunday evening. Do come and pray with the beautiful Taizé music.
Tuesday 20th July
Meeting for singers, musicians and dancers who are performing at the Autumn Festival. Please attend at 8.00pm in the Social Centre as time is getting short. Contact Pauline Fabbricatore for more details.
Wednesday 21st July
Teddy Bear's Picnic in the parish garden at 3.15pm organised by the CWL. Adults £2, Children £1, Teddy Bears get in free! Children bring all your Teddies and have an enjoyable afternoon. Any profits will go to CWL charities. All children must be accompanied.
Meeting with Karen North from our Diocesan Youth Service at 7.30pm in the Social Centre. All youth leaders as well as PAT and MaP members should attend.
Friday 23rd July
Leavers' Mass with St James’ School in church. This will take place at 10.00am and not 9.30am as published in Briefly. Every good wish to Year 6 – and many thanks for their great performance of “Joseph” last week!
Sunday 25th July is St James' Day
Who are we as a parish? Where have we come from and where are we going? Can we come up with a Mission Statement for our parish? All are invited to have a go, and the homily will be on this theme at all weekend Masses.
