The Pillar lead is vacant at the moment.  However Fr David will be pleased to talk to you about the work of the Pillar and to discuss your thoughts and suggestions.  Each catechetical programme: Baptism preparation, Children’s Liturgy, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Journey in Faith (RCIA) has a programme lead, and they can give you details of each of the programmes.  We can all be contacted via the Parish Office.

Events and activities

The Evangelisation Pillar has organised many talks and meetings over the past two years, often with outside national speakers.  We had discussion groups on the themes of Mercy, Advent and Lenten Talks, and reflections on Art and Music.  We always welcome new ideas to further develop the spiritual growth of the parish.

The parish also has a rich catechetical programme.  In 2018, 29 infants were baptised, 41 children received their first Holy Communion, 31 young people were confirmed, and 7 adults were received into the Church during the Easter Vigil.  Children’s Liturgy (during the Sunday 9:15am Mass) is usually attended by more than 80 children.

The Evangelisation Pillar aims to develop a holistic approach to catechesis within the Parish. We support the catechists to provide rich catechetical programmes and to feel part of a united group. We also facilitate a programme for the spiritual development of all parishioners.
