By following the links below you can find out what the St James' J&P group does.  The full title for such groups in the Southwark Archdiocese is now "Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation" (JPIC for short).  This reflects the importance that the Church now places on care for the environment and its effect on the less fortunate nations of the world.

Environmental Working Party
Meeting held on Tuesday 13th October 2009
The group was treated to excellent talks from Yolande and Ken Wright who live in the parish.  Yolande spoke of her experiences working with the International Development Agency in Cambodia, where she assists with the management of UK aid for environmental projects in forestry, fisheries and agriculture.  Ken trained as a climate scientist and has recently represented the Department of Energy and Climate Change in Bangkok.  There United Nations negotiators were preparing the groundwork for the vital talks in Copenhagen taking place in December.  Yolande and Ken will shortly return to Cambodia with their two young children and we were very fortunate to have them at our meeting.
