Every Sunday in January

Rehearsals for Bach's St John Passion, 3.30-5.00pm. Email Fr Bryan for more details. The proceeds of the two performances will go to Bromley Alzheimer’s Society.

First Communion Classes for children at non-Catholic Schools (year 3 children). These start on Sunday 13th January, from the end of the 10am Mass, until about 11.30am. Parents please register children on 13th, or at the latest on 20th (contact is Miriam Travers).

New Year’s Day

Mary Mother of God, Day for World Peace. Mass at 12.00noon followed by drinks in the Presbytery.

Tuesday 8th January

Justice and Peace Group meets in the Social Centre at 8.00pm, and on the 2nd Tuesday of each month thereafter. Email David McCabe for details.

Wednesday 9th January

Children's Liturgy Group leaders and helpers to meet in the Social Centre at 8.00pm, to review and plan.

Thursday 10th January

Meeting for Confirmation leaders at 8.00pm in the Presbytery.

Sunday 20th January

We are hosting the short (15mins) service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity followed by a bring and share lunch in the Social Centre. All parishioners are welcome as this gives them an opportunity to meet with members of the other Petts Wood Churches. The service will be at 12.40pm (immediately after the 11.30 Mass) with lunch at 1.00pm.

Monday 21st January

Food Tasting Session (Social Centre 1.30-3.00pm). Please bring a home-made dessert to share over coffee (with accompanying recipe). Entrance will be £1. Contact is Julie Lamb.

Monday 21st January

Confirmation class, young people in years 8 and 9 please note (in the Social Centre 6.45-7.45pm). Candidates are expected to attend Mass each week at St James' as well as the Monday evening preparation meetings.

Wednesday 23rd January

Meeting for ALL servers (7.00-8.00pm) in the church. Any child who has made his/her first communion is welcome to come and join the existing servers.

Monday 28th January

The CWL is having a New Year party in the Social Centre at 8.15pm. All ladies of the parish are most welcome.

Wednesday 30th January

Servers' practice in the church 7.00-8.00pm. This is for all 10am Mass servers only.

Welcomers Meeting (Social Centre 8.00pm). There will be a meeting for anyone wishing to become a welcomer (Contact Shelia Simon). The Ministry of Welcome is a vitally important part of our Christian outreach.
