Confirmation Classes
Young people in years 8 and 9 please note (in the Social Centre 6.45-7.45pm).  Please pray for our 50 young people who are preparing thoroughly and imaginatively for their confirmation.  They are a credit to their families and our parish.  The Archbishop will confirm them at Mass in St James' at 7.30pm on Thursday 15th May.

Wednesday 5th March
Servers practice in the church 7.00-7.50pm.  Parents and servers should sign the list in the porch to inidcate availability for the main Holy Week services.

Saturday 8th March
We still need to do some more clearing up, following the excellent session a few weeks ago. This will not be so onerous but we would appreciate help for a couple of hours between 10.00am and 1.00pm.  Could you please spare an hour (or more) to help in this work, preparing us for our Health & Safety inspection on 26th March.  It would be useful to know who can come (please sign list in porch) – thank you.

Sunday 9th March
Rehearsal for Bach's St John Passion, 3.00-5.00pm.  Email Fr Bryan for more details.  The proceeds of the two performances, on 15th and 16th March, will go to Bromley Alzheimer’s Society.

Penitential Service at St Joseph's Church in St Mary Cray at 4.00pm.  Everyone is warmly welcomed to attend.  These will be individually spoken, not written, confessions.

Tuesday 11th March - Passover Supper Celebration

Starting at 7.30 pm in the Social Centre there will be an opportunity to be taken through the ritual ceremonies of the Jewish Passover meal.  Mrs Beverley Taylor, Lay Preacher and former Chairman at the South London Liberal synagogue, is coming to lead us.

We will be guided as we take part in a supper of symbolic food (not a main meal).  All are welcome, including families, as we discover more of the meaning of Our Lord’s Last Supper and the connections with the Eucharist.  We expect to finish at 9.00 pm approximately.

There will be no charge - but a collection will be taken to cover expenses.  All are welcome, but places are limited, so please reserve your place on the sign-up sheet (available in the church lobby from 24th February).  Flyers are available in the porch.  LIST NOW CLOSED as all places have been booked.

Any queries to Chris or Doreen Hairs.
