Wednesday 1st April
Holy Week choir practice at 8.00pm in the church.
 
Thursday 2nd April
Mission and Planning Team meet in the Social Centre at 8.30pm.  Please let a member of the team have your views on any subject which concerns you.  Their names and (most) pictures can be seen here.
 
Saturday 4th April
Help to spring clean the church from 10.00am-12noon.  This is in preparation for Holy Week and Easter.  Please sign the list in the porch and don't leave it to ‘other’ people!!  Many hands make light work...
 
Saturday 4th April
The Knights of St Columba invite you to a family race night with a difference.  Racing starts in the Social Centre at 7.00pm and will finish at approximately 9.00pm.  It will feature kids and parents as jockeys!!  This is a fun event for the whole family.  There will be kids races as well as some for the adults - and more.  Tickets are £5 for adults, £2 for children, or £12 for a family ticket.  Light supper is provided and full licensed bar available.  Tickets in advance only from Caroline Price, Lora Benson or Frank Simon or email Peter Benson.
 
Weekend 4/5th April
The new parish Welcoming booklet will be distributed at all Masses this weekend.  Please make sure you take one copy for your family.  It is packed full with useful information, including contact details.  We are grateful for all the hard work by Chris Hairs, Mary Walters, and other Welcomers, which they have put in to this publication.
 
Tuesday 7th April
Reception of the body of Kenneth Jackson, RIP, into the church at 5.00pm.
Servers practice for Holy Week from 7.00-8.30pm.
 
Wednesday 8th April
Requiem Mass for Kenneth Jackson, RIP, at 10.30am.  The family welcomes all parishioners to this Mass, which will be followed by private burial at Chislehurst.  There will be no 9.30am Mass today.

Wednesday 15th April
Easter Draft Day and Mystery Trail at St Michael’s, Locksbottom from 10.30am-2.30pm for Pre and Primary school children.  £3.00 per child and £2.00 for siblings.  Advanced bookings only.  Cecile Hasett 01689 852696.
 
Saturday 18th April
At 12 noon there will be a CWL Area Mass with Bishop Paul Hendricks followed by lunch and meeting for members in the Social Centre.
The Senior Youth Group meets from 1.30-3.30pm to have lunch and talk about the Environment with Roger Wright of the Justice & Peace Group.  
The Junior Youth Group meets from 3.45-5.45pm.  Join them for fun and games and a special art workshop with Kelly Robson.
 
Tuesday 21st April
Rainbow Bookshop 25th Anniversary service in the Methodist Church at 8.00pm.
 
Saturday 25th April
There will be a special on-going formation session for all Eucharistic Ministers from 9.30am to 12.30pm at St James'.  It is hoped that every minister will attend as there are many issues to discuss.  Please let Fr Bryan know if you are unable to attend.
 
At 3.45pm we welcome, through Holy Baptism, Billy Thomas Molloy (1 year), his parents Nolan & Julie and his godparents Ben & Lisa.
Mondays 20th, 27th April
Journey in Faith starts again in the Presbytery on 20th April from 8.00-9.30pm.  The present group, plus any non-Catholic who would like to learn a little more about the Catholic Faith, are all warmly welcome.
 
Wednesdays 1st, 22nd, 29th April
Firm Believers fun-fitness class for all.  Wednesdays 7.00-7.45pm in the Social Centre with drinks and chat afterwards.   You should bring a towel or mat to lie on.  The cost of each session is £4 and all are welcome!
 
Saturday 25th April
St James' School PTA will be holding a St George's Day Family Party from 7.00-9.00pm.   Families new to the school, with children starting in September, will be welcome.
 
Sunday 26th April
On Yer Bike Challenge – Flavio Iorio is undertaking a 40 mile cycle ride in aid of the RNLI, St Michael’s Hospice and the Knights of St Columba.  His sponsor form can be found in the porch.  Good luck Flavio!!
 
Wednesday 29th April
Baptism preparation evening from 8.00-9.30pm in the Presbytery for parents who have been informed.
