The Pastoral and Advisory Team (PAT), and the Mission and Planning Team (MaP) have been set up by Fr Bryan as part of his vision for collaborative ministry, in other words, involving the Parish in the running of St James'. PAT was set up by Fr Bryan to assist him on theological and pastoral matters in the parish, and to advise him on his role as parish priest. Both PAT and MaP will work strategically and look at forward planning. Neither team will in any sense debar other parishioners from having their say directly, either at our open Parish Forum, which meets two or three times a year, or by direct contact with Fr Bryan. Indeed they will represent additional channels of communication, parishioners being encouraged to raise issues with members of both PAT and MaP, who will then raise such topics for discussion at their next meeting. PAT meets roughly once a month but minutes will not be published, because many of the matters discussed are confidential. You can email any of the members by clicking on the appropriate links below, or on the names

Doreen Hairs for many years was Pastoral Assistant in a Catholic parish, and is also very experienced in the work of spiritual direction.
Joanna Longhurst is a long standing member of our congregation with an interest in spirituality, and who is currently studying part-time for a degree in theology.
Mary Hutchinson is an experienced Catholic teacher who heads up our Children’s Liturgy Group, and who is about to complete her MA in Pastoral Liturgy at Heythrop College.
Chris Cahill is an experienced Catholic Head Teacher and also schools inspector for Catholic Ethos and Religious Education
Graham Price is our Group Scout Leader, and is a senior Metropolitan Police officer. The parish was delighted with the news that the Archbishop, with Fr Bryan's full support, has selected Graham, after a long period of discernment, for training to the permanent diaconate. He expects to start his part-time training at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh, in September 2009.
Andrew Dalgleish is a highly committed member of our congregation and is a Civil Servant who often represents HM Government abroad.
